Аннотация (краткое описание)
This paper presents a structural-parametric synthesis of the four-bar and Stephenson II, Stephenson III six-bar function generating linkages. Four-bar linkage is formed by connecting two coordinate systems with given angles of rotation using a negative closing kinematic chain (CKC) of the RR type. Six-bar linkages are formed by connecting two coordinate systems using two CKCs: a passive CKC of the RRR type and a negative CKC of the RR type. The negative CKC of the RR type imposes one geometrical constraint to the relative motion of the links, and its geometric parameters are defined by least-square approximation. Passive CKC of the RRR type does not impose a geometrical constraint, and the geometric parameters of its links are varied.DOI

The practical significance of this study lies in the development of a systematic method for the structural-parametric synthesis of four-bar and six-bar linkage mechanisms used for function generation. The proposed approach enables engineers to design complex kinematic chains, such as Stephenson II and Stephenson III mechanisms, with improved accuracy in achieving prescribed motion laws. By applying coordinate system transformations and kinematic chain decomposition (RR and RRR types), the method allows precise control of geometric parameters and motion constraints. The use of least-square approximation for defining the parameters of the negative RR-type kinematic chain improves the accuracy and reliability of the synthesized mechanisms. From a practical standpoint, the developed synthesis approach simplifies the design process of planar mechanisms used in mechanical engineering, automation systems, robotics, and machine design. It reduces trial-and-error iterations, improves computational efficiency, and ensures that the resulting mechanisms meet required functional specifications. Overall, the method can be applied in the design of precision motion systems, mechanical linkages for industrial equipment, and robotic mechanisms where accurate function generation and controlled kinematic behavior are essential.Квартиль
