The article discusses the interpretation of remote sensing data in the study of the thermal field in the southeastern part of the South Mangyshlak-Ustyurt trough system in order to determine the possibility of involving thermal parameters in hydrocarbon exploration. Remote Thermal Infrared Survey Data and geomorphological, gravity, magnetic and radiometric anomaly data were analyzed. The results indicate promising local structures with hydrocarbon potential in the southern part of the Ustyurt region.DOI

The practical significance of the article lies in the use of remote sensing and thermal infrared survey data, together with geological and geophysical information, to identify promising local structures for hydrocarbon exploration in the South Ustyurt region.
